Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. When she was a kid, she listened to a lot of traditional music as well as old boleros. In addition, she was a fan of traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a lover of the opera and tango genres as well as any form of dramatic performance. After singing with her mom, she started more serious singing lessons at the age of 16, under the direction by renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. She furthered her training in music at the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. As a student and as a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she sang with several chamber groups and choirs. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. In addition to being an instructor and performer in the local area and instructor, her passion for arts and music keeps her active in a variety of initiatives. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for being able to share her love and enthusiasm for old-fashioned Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to instill a sense of, especially among younger generations in order to keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
